P.O.D. or "Payable On Death" was formed in 1992 and consists of Drummer Wuv, Bass player Traa, Singer Sonny, and Guitar player Marcos Curiel. Marcos and Wuv first started the group, then Wuv's cousin Sonny Sandoval joined soon after. Finally, Traa joined and completed the group in 1993.
P.O.D. have opened for the likes of Green Day, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Kidrock, and Cypress Hill. They have a contract with Tooth & Nail Records and average 150 shows a year.
Marcos Curiel decided to leave P.O.D. Band leader, Sonny Sandoval explains,
"Marcos has chosen to pursue hisown vision apart from P.O.D. Never have we imagined P.O.D. without him, but we now know this vision is bigger than the four of us."
Welcome to musician/songwriter Jason Truby, who was hired to replace him. P.O.D. went on to create the lead single for the film, THE MATRIX RELOADED, which will be featured on their next album, which P.O.D. is currently working on in their studio.
