Jewish UndergroundJewish here refers mainly to the fact that Oi Va Voi put out their albums with the Outcaste label, which was the center of what was called Asian Underground a couple of years ago. The Oi Va Voi-members are as much Londoners as they are Jewish, and they use their ethnical backgrounds to make a unique and warm mix of klezmer and other East-European sounds and rhythms and the trendy programmed grooves of the DJ culture. London is a great mix of different cultures, so is Oi Va Voi. |
